I cannot remember too many missing members since I became majorly inactive but a few of them are:

• DJ Coco
• Cruise Elroy
• Mit
• Miles
• Basically everybody missing after the split
• A few others I cannot remember the name of now

DJ Coco's doing good! He's working on some exciting projects right now, one of which being a collaboration with me.
he also keeps bullying me on twitter >Sad
Hang out with our twitter. We inspire encouragement and positivity. Also we're god damn nice.

RE: Users that you miss - EDGE - 07-28-2019

It's been a while but if I remember correctly (AKA I don't) there was a member called bEEtle or b33tle that made plenty of awesome sprites and tilesets.
I remember before I completely left back then, I would come back once in a while just to check bEEtle/b33tle's work.

Also, there was a member whose character used to be a ninja and I remember being one of the four members who I ever did a drawing for besides Pikaboo, The Real Wart and Ultra Mario. I think it was ~Smoke~.

RE: Users that you miss - Thunderbro - 07-29-2019

I vaguely remember ~Smoke~, but I can't say I remember much about him past his name and avatar.

RE: Users that you miss - GeneralGuy - 07-29-2019

Fun fact: I joined immediately after ~Smoke~ on the old IPB boards. He was #2504 and I was #2505

RE: Users that you miss - Vert - 07-29-2019

Alba's good. Me, Coco and Miaxis lost contact with her over the years but apparently she's doing fine. She wasn't really interested in coming back though apparently.

Similarly I don't think Random Talking Bush will return. Heard a few rumors he had trouble with somebody here, nothing confirmed though.

RE: Users that you miss - Jeff - 07-29-2019

You probably don't remember me but I remember a lot of names here. I joined in '09 as YoManRuLz, I was 14 and this was my first online community. I lurked almost every day, submitted a few things, posted some drawings, but never really did anything to stand out.
This is where I learned everything I know about internet culture and made a lot of mistakes in the process. I hope no one is still upset with something I said, I probably didn't even realize I was doing something wrong. I want to apologize if that is the case.

Some names I remember are
- Alex
- Glukom
- McKnackus
- Mewizkuit
- RetroXYZ

Hey I remembered you clearly! I believe we had a game project going at some point but my memory isn't cooperating with me at the moment.

Hey, welcome back Jeff! Make sure not to touch the gold TD statue. Oh, and I'm trying to reach out to those members too.

If more people come back we'll eventually have almost every single MFGG member from the past.

RE: Users that you miss - Q-Nova - 07-30-2019

@Rage! @HammerGuy! I remember when you two came over to visit here during... 2015... I think? It's great to see you two come back again, though! And welcome back, @Jeff, and to anyone else that has came back here recently!

So Rage, if my memory is correct, you were doing a Yoshi engine in Clickteam Fusion a few years ago. If so, how has that been going? I heard it was pretty good!

RE: Users that you miss - HammerGuy - 07-30-2019

Huh, that must of been a previous iteration of the board since my username wasn't even in this current one.

RE: Users that you miss - Q-Nova - 07-30-2019

Yeah, that was during the phpBB forums. You can find the archive here:

First things first, thanks for the all of the kind welcomes everyone! Big Grin Good to see the ol' gang is still kicking, including some folks I haven't seen around in forever. :O

Hey Q-Nova, yeah I did visit for a little while back then promptly vanished back into the shadows lol. Had a lot of IRL stuff going on and didn't have a whole lot of free time. Usually just floated around Steam and Twitter and occasionally post art.

As for the Yoshi thing, that was the basis for my project RPM - Rage's Platformer Movement. The general idea being that it gives you all of the basic movements and animations for a platformer right out of the gate, so you can instead focus on fine-tuning the player character(s). Things like moving/jump-thru platforms, proper object collisions, angle detection, room transitions, animation controller, etc. are already programmed out of the gate. The big "selling point" of RPM is the Character Module system, which uses Fusion's behaviors system to make character specific adjustments through special widgets to control various aspects of RPM. So for example, the Yoshi from my Yoshi's Island example will retain all of its movement quirks and camera adjustments if you place its sprite in a completely separate project that also has RPM's code. You can do the same for the forever unfinished and outdated Shantae example, too.

I recently updated it a few months ago to take advantage of the new Fusion 2.5+ DLC to include nested events and re-optimized all of the code to run smoother. It seems to be fairly popular over on Clickteam (it's one of the largest and most viewed topics on their forum, and one of the most viewed open-source products on their store) and gets sales here and there, so I did something right it seems. Wink

I'll probably make another topic about RPM soon, though last time I was here GameMaker was still king so I'm not sure how many folks would get mileage out of RPM. :V
