So, instead of making a new topic for my art, I decided to simply update my Mario Trophy topic. Anyways, heres some of the sprites I've made over the course of this year. Can't remember which ones I've already posted in the past, so I'll post a bunch of them just to be safe. For those of you who don't know about the LPer raocow, some of these characters might look a bit odd, but they are from his/the talkhaus's "A Super Mario Thing" series, or ASMT for short. Also, I used spoilers as many of these images are large.

Shovel Knight for SMBX. His overall form doesn't change with power-ups, but instead, he switches weapons.

Character concepts from my "A Paper Thing" concept. Most of the characters are based on existing characters from the series, minus the last seven. The general idea was to take the characters and their smaller traits, then expand upon them in new ways.

Anyways, that's all I can find for now, but I'll post more if I can find anything. That said, I want to start spriting more things just for fun (out side of Midas Machine basically) so I hope to make more updates more regularly.

Sounds like a swell idea to me.
But if music comp. winners/finalists get a showcase and sprite comp. winners would get a trophy based on their creation, then what would drawing comp. winners or mini-game comp. winners get? Confused

(Other than badges, that is.)
Question aside, I fully agree with this concept.

Don't worry, I don't mind people commenting on the trophy idea, I mean, it's still a thing that I would love to be a thing. As for the other comp winners, I'm not really sure what could be done in that regard. I guess mini game winners could get a a thing on the main site if they are submitted, like a special icon with them or something, but thats all I can think of.

I honestly would love to see Banjo and Kazooie for SMBX in action as well. Not to mention that your SMBX sheets of Mimikyu, Kirby, and Shovel Knight an your paper mario style sprites look good. Great job!

Your sprites are really good! I've also always liked the idea of crossover characters playable in a Mario game.

Seeing all the SMBX characters redrawn like this would be amazing

Minor thing, but anyone who watches raocow has probably seen the 3D game he got as a gift. In that game are some 2D sprites, used during level intro images, as well as in the HUD. As you probably guessed by the fact that I'm posting about it, I'm the one who sprited them. Heres the video for those interested.

Theres actually a few other images that were cut due to time/issues, the main one being an image for the boss that I'll try and upload later.

I'd hate to bump this topic back up, but are we actually gonna do the trophy thing? I still greatly adore the idea, and have coins I wanna spend for once.

I'm still up for it, but I haven't heard anything from the rest of the staff lately. On that note, I'd probably be using Midas Machine sprites for the trophies, at least to start with since that would give us ~200 trophies right out of the gate (at least until I get around to making new sprites for them, if needed that is).

I'd love to see a trophy system happen. It would require a bit of custom programming, but it shouldn't be incredibly difficult.

Well, like I said, lemme know when things start rolling for that little project, and I'll get to making some trophies.

On another note, heres some random sprites I made. The first character is Wademo, a talkhaus character, the other two are bug themed baddies. I was trying to make a Wario Land themed scene but got bored.
