Just popped in after seeing the announcement randomly on the Discord server.
I may not come around here very often, and am probably an old remnant among others at this rate, but I think you might still appreciate my words. I think your administrative position here did many great things for MFGG, not just the forums, but the main website as well. Your contributions were vast and you did a great service to both old and new - you understood and even took care to those of us older on this website, giving us great respect as well as showcase our ambitions and lessons to those newer. You also managed to keep up with the newer members, to keep relevant and inspire a newer generation (both young and old people in the sense of age, because sometimes older people can join and be a new member). How the hell you managed to do all that is beyond me, but know that at least I give you just as much respect back for being able to do that. You even went out of your way occasionally to message me and just see how I'm doing, and I think I can count on one hand how many members here have done that in recent times.
I don't even see this as any sort of somber, sad good-bye. You've done a fantastic job in the years, and it feels more like you've fulfilled more than your share of work, and it's time to press on to the next person.
Hats off to you, good sir.

I never thought I'd see you step down.
It's like this concludes an era.
All of us former admins have now moved on with our lives. Somewhat understandable since MFGG isn't quite what it used to be anymore, and we hardly get fangames anymore.
You were always a great admin, Vinny, no matter what anyone else might tell you.
I recently started a new job as software engineer as well. I hope you enjoy your new job as much as I like mine.
I'll see you around on Skype or Twitter once I got a new game ready for you

You'll always be a big part of what made MFGG a welcoming place, my good Vinny. Only someone like you could welcome someone named Stalin sincerely onto the forums and look through the stupid name to see someone who had been away from the site for a long time.
I don't really like popping my head on the forums these days, but I'll bid you a fond farewell all the same. I can always push you off the side of a ledge where you look at your flowers from in my memories, Valued Customer Bibby.

@"Jonna the Bunn" Thanks for the kind words - it means a lot to me! I'd like to thank you for giving me the chance to become staff back when you retired! I felt like I had mighty big shoes to fill when you stepped down in 2011.

man, i remember you reaching out to me when i first came back. that was how i knew you really cared about this place, and why you became one of my best friends in this brave new MFGG world.
i told you on discord already, but i'm surprised that you didn't abdicate the throne earlier given how much you've had on your plate with this place and with your college education and later career. mfgg was in good hands with you as the emperor, and like others have said, it feels like the end of an era.

Even if i'm not much of a regular visitor i noticed the great effort you've put into the site, well it was more like a galactic effort in my eyes, i can't thank you enough because i've had a lot of fun browsing the updates and stumbled upon many of your helpful reviews.
Take care of yourself IRL and try to avoid any trap of workaholism even though here is evidence that you're a very durable staff member. However family last longer than a workplace i think.
