So much has changed since the creation of MFGG back in 2001. MFGG itself, the internet and even our culture have all changed. When I first joined Mario Fan Games Galaxy back in 2006, I was only 15 years old and MFGG was just 5 years old. MFGG was a magical place for me that had a positive impact on the last few years of my childhood. It's hard to believe that much time has passed this quickly. I can remember first joining the main site and forums like it was today.

It makes me so happy to see that the community lives on, many many years later. It's a real testament to the kind of community that has been built and (impressively) maintained here. Hours of my teenage life, spent in these hallowed digital walls, memories coming flooding back. This alone being one of them ->

Happy birthday MFGG! 20 years is absurd for an internet community - most barely last 10 years. You've exceeded my expectations and then some!
From Super Mario Storm to Super Mario Flashback, from Mario's Mansion to Luigi Doesn't Drink a Glass of Milk (and countless other examples), MFGG has a long and rich history of keeping the amateur Mario name both silly, fun, impressive... and sometimes downright amazing. Don't stop, MFGG. The world needs an MFGG.

20 years is an absolute crazy span of time for an Internet community. Most communities like this wouldn't have been expected to last more than a few. I want to especially call out the torch-passing that has happened within the leadership over the many years, always ensuring someone is at the helm.
