No, no os preocupéis, está más olvidado que Mario Bros of Game & Watch.

@Louis Paul Box and Dropbox are my favorite tools for sharing medium-sized files.

Thanks for the suggestions @VinnyVideo, but I found out that my email provider supports uploading files, so I took advantage of this. Here's the file for The Purple Coin 2 (I scanned it on VirusTotal).

As a bonus, here are two screenshots (now embedded directly on the post):

I'll continue checking the folders later on for more joke games that aren't archived on the website.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - BillieVee - 03-28-2026

I have some old artwork I made of MFGG members from '06 or so. Would those be worth sharing?

Other than that, I have a few clickteam files of contest minigames, though I'm not sure how to get them open. They were built using extremely old versions of Multimedia Fusion or something.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - VinnyVideo - 03-29-2026

@BillieVee Those would indeed be worth sharing! Old MFGG artwork is fun to see.

If you'd like to share your MMF files (or possibly just their file names), we can help you figure out what tools can open them.

Sorry for the delay, but here are some of the old MFGG member drawings I found:

Retriever II:

Black Squirrel:

Super Sketch Dude:

Nobody the Dragon:

Judging from the artstyle, I believe this is Jazz's handiwork

Alright people, here are some of the old Forum designs/layouts from the 2000s IPB board days.

Who designed them? Which is your favorite? Personally I think the SMB3 dark airship one is pretty cool, secondly, the forest Super Mario World one. However, I remember these quite well, so I used almost all of them, maybe when they came out, or whatever.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - VinnyVideo - 06-10-2026

Oh yes, the huge variety of skins was one of my favorite things about IPB. Some of the more popular ones got ported over to the phpBB and/or MyBB boards. For example, Doomship Gloom, which you mentioned as being one of your favorites, is available on MyBB.

The Yoshi's Island and DKC skins are two of my favorite IPB-exclusive skins.

I always thought Winter Blue was really cute as well. In fact, I made a version of it for Jaxboards - it was the most complex HTML/CSS project I'd attempted at the time. Now I work on HTML/CSS for a living, so porting an old skin maybe played a role in launching my career. Or at least that's what I like to think.

I don't know who made all the old skins. I could probably find out with a bit of research, though. I know Black Squirrel was involved in a bunch of 'em.

If there's a particular skin you'd really like to see on MyBB, feel free to make a Suggestions topic (or even try your hand at making a skin yourself!).

IPB, Invision, I get the boards mixed up when I look it up on the Wiki Smile

I am just using the default on these boards right now, so I don't have any suggestions. Oh got it, some of those old themes are on here too, kind of redundant on my part. I do like the animations, however, on the new layouts, like the Mega Man one (probably my favorite because of that) and Tropical Splash 2.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - VinnyVideo - 06-10-2026

Actually, Invision and IPB are two names for the same thing!

I like to use different skins depending on the time of year. Right now it's Tropical Splash season. I like Evening Chill in winter, and for fall I often go through a BooBerry stretch.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - Louis Paul - 06-10-2026

Cool skins, I forgot that this board has custom themes, I liked the Doomship Gloom and BooBerry. Now I changed the skin to the MFGG Main Site one to give a retro feel.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - Kohaku-chi - 06-14-2026

Those skins are very nostalgic, I recall mostly using Fireflower.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - NowhereMan - 07-06-2026

I remember when I very first joined, Kitsune's MFGG High was the first "event" on the forums I was apart of. I loved his art at the time.

Here are some random art and gifs I collected while I searched the old forum. There is A LOT of great art, here and on the old forums, so this is just a tease, I suppose, but it really shows the diverse creative artists currently and from the past of MFGG. Also a lot of art is a dead link, photobucket and imgur, so at least we get what we get (with the 2000s board usually closed).

That last picture may or may not be an MFGG board picture, maybe Discord? So maybe not "lost media" from the old boards.
Also I can't get onto the old boards at the moment right now (to give credit, as this was not my concern when I was browsing), so give credit where due.

RE: Lost Content of MFGG - VinnyVideo - 07-07-2026

Oh yeah, Kitsune's art was a lot of fun!

MFGG's 25th Anniversary is just around the corner, so let me know if anyone wants me to open up the IPB archive for the anniversary. (I can't open it up permanently until we install Cloudflare or otherwise find something that keeps the bot armies under control.)

Go ahead and open it for the anniversary. Smile

I'm in favor of it, this will be a great opportunity to display the MFGG history, like a time capsule. Out of curiosity, will the MFGG Anniversary badge be available on the day?

Funny, I've been searching for traces of my old art online recently; I used to cringe at my old art but I learned to love it as I got older. Thanks for recovering this one! Hope you have been well.

To be honest, I completely forgot my character had a whole army; some of those names were kind of silly, but here's a redraw of it, 20+ years later:

Nice to see you, Jinpen. When I used to draw frequently during my time here, my inspirations were comic book, newspaper comics. You once told me you could see my art in the newspaper comic sections, thank you, I will always remember that.

My art style is a lot different now, but it is great to see you on the boards. Your art is always cool to see.

@NowhereMan I'm going to try opening the archive, but requiring a password to get in. I'll see if this method thwarts those pesky AI bots.

Username is Guest, and password is W@lrus2001%.

@Louis Paul Yeah, we can talk about whether we should have a cool 25th Anniversary badge!
