RE: Status of Game of the Month awards - Q-Nova - 09-05-2018 Thanks, guys! I did a minor change to the zig-zag thing's position. Also, I have made an alternate version that gives the text shadows: Here's the previous version for comparison: I personally like it more than the other version, but what do you think? @Vitiman Haha, I like the crossed out part! I picked Sunshine for my example since I do really like the game (otherwise Go! Go! Gooble!! wouldn't be Go! Go! Gooble!!). @Dustinvgmaster Yeah, if one has GIMP and knows how to use it, they can just take the banner, replace the image and text, and then there you go! A banner is generated! I would've sent the source for anyone wants to mess with it, but I can't seem to make a download link to it (when I make a link, it just takes me to a page filled with gibberish rather than downloading the file for me). I suppose one could give me a screenshot and the title of a game and then I can make a GOTM banner out of it, though. RE: Status of Game of the Month awards - Kritter - 09-06-2018 Hardly makes a difference but it looks fine. I still find the text a little hard to read though. I also still like the idea of a "Community Spotlight" thing that I suggested earlier in the topic. Perhaps not as an "award", but just something we do every now and then to highlight a game, old or new. A short write-up about it, what makes it good, and info on where to download it etc. Could even do it for a game that's in progress. RE: Status of Game of the Month awards - Q-Nova - 09-06-2018 Okay, I decided to put the source file into a zip, which should be downloaded if one clicks at a link to it. Here's the link. @Kritter Are you able to figure out what makes the text a bit difficult to read? Maybe the yellow is too saturated. About the "Community Spotlight" thing, I'll say that VinnyVideo and I did think that we could cycle between choosing a new game and nominating an older game at one point during the topic. EDIT: For anyone that's messing with the GOTM banner, here are some notes to keep in mind:
