Drawing Competition #5: Object art - Amine Retro - 07-16-2018

Took me some time to figure out a theme, but i finally found what i was looking for: Object art.
What do i mean by object art? Basically using an object wether it is a fruit, a flower or a toy to complete the drawing or give it neat effects.

(warning: big resolution images)

Anyway, so here are the rules:
1. Your entry must be a drawing by pen (or any drawing tool) and it has to be drawn on paper.
2. There needs to be at least one object and it needs to be related to your drawing.
3. Using advantage of anything other than solid objects is allowed. (for example a shadow)
4. Cutting the paper or deforming it is allowed (take a look at picture #4 and #5)

The deadline is 27 / 07 / 2018 (10 days length).
Good luck to the participants.

It's a fidget spinner. and I drew the hands and you know kids had fidget spinners since 2017 or late 2016

Would making a cover for a game be acceptable? Like using the switch case as the object?

Mmm... i'm not sure, but mostly not. The object must be part of the drawing itself.

Yeah that's what I assumed. Thanks for clarifying.

This is a really good theme, and there are some creative entries here! Anyway, I'd like to present my entry for the competition:

It's the fight between Yoshi and Raphael the Raven from Yoshi's Island. Baby Mario's eyes are supposed to look dizzy from all the gravity chaos, in case you're wondering, since it's not so clear in the drawing thanks to the camera (the picture was taken with a 3DS).

RE: Drawing Competition #5: Object art - Amine Retro - 07-27-2018

Ends today! (Unless someone asks for an extension, of course)

RE: Drawing Competition #5: Object art - GamerInGeorgia - 07-27-2018

Could I have a four day extension (until Tuesday)? I'm almost done, but I have a packed schedule.

RE: Drawing Competition #5: Object art - Amine Retro - 07-27-2018

Alright then, deadline is extended to 31/7/2018.

Last day to post your entries!

RE: Drawing Competition #5: Object art - GamerInGeorgia - 07-31-2018

Here's my entry:
I tried to make a "Jacob's Ladder" toy into an actual ladder, and this is what I ended up with. The lighting (in the picture of the drawing, not in the drawing itself) is bad since my shadow was covering the sketchbook/notebook so I had to use flash.
