What are your system specs? - Andy Journey - 11-29-2017 What components do MFGGers have in their PCs? You may list accessories too. Big plans for some game dev with it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66gxroX_vX0 I'll take possession in the new year. I started reading your specs and thought man, this is MY system LOL. I'm running a gtx 970, an i7 4790 on an ASUS Z97-A Mobo, and sporting the same monitors in a dual setup, like literally, the exact same monitors, the G2460P. Only difference is the RAM as I'm running 32GB of Kingston HyperX Fury. Not sure what your RAM makes are though. Sandisk Ultra II SSD drives. All powered with a Corsair RM850 PSU. Mouse and keyboard are Razr brand. RE: What are your system specs? - Syaxamaphone - 11-29-2017 Here's my laptop: I got it underpowered as heck so I can make sure my games will run fine on lower-end hardware. Only drawback is everything takes eons to compile. I just use this time to browse twitter and post on MFGG (like I am doing right now). My PC is prebuilt and it came with 8GB of ram, and coincidentally the extra ram I bought for it happened to be the same brand :D It also came with a 1TB HDD and I recently upgraded to a 2TB one (it's already 3/4 full :( ). RE: What are your system specs? - Hyper - 11-29-2017 I got 2 computers: Dell Laptop: - Intel Core i3 3227U 1.90 GHz (dual core) - HD Graphics 4000 (1366 x 768) - 12 GB DDR3 RAM - 128 GB Samsung 830 SSD - Windows 10 Pro with Linux Kernel HP Laptop: - Intel Core i3 2328M 2.20 GHz (dual core) - HD Graphics 3000 (1366 x 768) - 8 GB DDR3 RAM - 500 GB Toshiba 5400rpm HDD - Apple macOS 10.12.6 Sierra (with Clover EFI) It is possible to install a Mac on a PC, but time consuming and challenging. RE: What are your system specs? - VinnyVideo - 11-29-2017 Asus S500CA laptop Windows 10 Home Intel i5-3317U, 1.7 GHz, 2 cores, 4 logical processors 6 GB RAM 500 GB hard drive 15.6-inch monitor with a touchscreen It's not ideal for 3-D gaming (something I rarely do) or compiling four-hour videos (something I did a lot in grad school), but it's great for everything else. It's also the coolest (literally speaking) laptop I've ever used, so it doesn't burn up in Florida heat. Unfortunately, the hinge is starting to wear out, so I'll have to buy a new PC in the near future. Someday, if I have a bit more money and a bit more space, I'd love to have a spiffy desktop. RE: What are your system specs? - DustinVG - 11-29-2017 HP Pavilion dv7 Windows 7 Home Premium - Service Pack 1 1920x1080 display 916 GB HD Uh... some kind of ATI/Intel/Radeon graphics switch thing? Honestly more trouble than it's worth. RE: What are your system specs? - Retriever II - 11-30-2017 What am I even running these days... - Intel Xeon E3-1245 v3 @ 3.4 GHz - 32 GB RAM (ECC) - GTX 970 - 256GB and 1TB SSDs - 1TB and 1TB HDDs - 2x 24" 1920x1600 monitors Given the v3 I must have built this in late 2013, sans a GPU refresh. RE: What are your system specs? - Shadow Administrator Drei - 11-30-2017 need to upgrade my mobo sometime so i can upgrade my ram RE: What are your system specs? - darkblueyoshi - 11-30-2017 My computer is pretty fast.
