How do I fix an N64 cartridge? - Honey Saucer Gengar - 01-17-2019 A few days ago, the save battery in my Smash 64 cart died. So I need some advice on how to fix it. Can anybody help me? RE: How do I fix an N64 cartridge? - HylianDev - 01-17-2019 If this happened to me, I'd take it to my local retro game store and get them to replace it for me, I know they do it. I probably wouldn't mess with it myself, but maybe it can be done realistically. Nite Shadow is the guy to ask about that. Here's a video that shows the entire process: You will need access to a soldering pencil in order to remove the battery. If your school has an electronics class, you could maybe access one there. Otherwise they're actually not that expensive and are honestly not a bad tool to have around if you have a lot of retro games. RE: How do I fix an N64 cartridge? - Hungry San - 01-19-2019 The clock battery died in my Pokémon Advance cartridge so i can't pick berries. And in my Mario Bros Deluxe cartridge so the calendar stopped working. But i'm glad each of my save batteries still function! RE: How do I fix an N64 cartridge? - The Shadow - 01-20-2019 It's actually pretty easy, you just need to be able to solder the new one on. Personally though, I would use the opportunity to install a CR2032 clip, so that the next time this happens, all you need to do is pop the battery out and pop the new one in. https://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-CR2025-CR2032-Button-Coin-Cell-Battery-Holder-DIY-Electronics-10pcs-T17/151234890077?hash=item23364d495d:g:ANYAAOSw~yNbb1aK:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true |
