Welp, I bought Game Maker Studio 2 - HellJumper - 02-11-2019
Gonna need it if I'm gonna make this game I've been planning. I'm going to be watching a lot of tutorials for Game Maker to help me out, and I may even take some programming classes. Any tips and advice is appreciated. I'm nearly finished Mario's basic running animation for this game, so once I finish that at least, I'll start working on this. I'll be tough for a little while, but I'll get the hang of it eventually. Wish me luck!

Good luck on your Game Maker journey! If you need any tips, there's this tutorial from MFGG Wiki:

It's a bit outdated (Game Maker doesn't do loading screens by default anymore, for example), but it still has a lot of good advice on how to avoid the many common mistakes beginners make.

I also own Game Maker Studio 2. Really fun to use.
