Bowsette (Donkey Kong ROM Hack) - Kazufox - 03-06-2019
I'm back everyone, and I've still got more ideas to work with. I haven't been doing much in ROM Hacking since I'm working on another project, I might post about it here soon.
For now, I'm working on another Super Crown/Bowsette related ROM Hack, this one being on the NES version of Donkey Kong.
I plan on making 2 versions, the original NES port and the 2010 European ROM release with all 4 levels.
Right now I'm just working on getting some ideas going for the enemies that'll be involved and the look of the game. I've already edited the Mario sprites and replaced Pauline with Peach.
My main goal is to make a Bowsette (currently working) and a Boosette version starring Luigi.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you're a little too obsessed over Bowsette.
I'm not saying your hacks are bad, in fact I kinda think their fine, but have you tried working on something not Bowsette related?

Perhaps...just at the moment, it's easier for me to come up with ideas Bowsette/Super Crown related. Only other thing that comes to mind is a Mario Fighter Hack based on the game MUSCLE.
In other news, I've managed to make a lot of progress. Each of the levels referencing the 4 main Mario games (SMB, Lost Levels, SMB3, and SM64). All the enemy sprites and barrels have been replaced, I planned on them being regular enemies, but was able to Super Crown them anyways. Reworked all the Mario sprites so it's more Mario rather than Jumpman. Still need to come up with a Bowsette sprite design...will do that in time.

Thought I was finished? I'm not done yet...I mentioned earlier that I've got some more ROM Hacks I wanted to work on. This is based on the Donkey Kong ROM Hack from the NES.

Which, I should also note, will include a version that contains all 4 levels and the climbing animation to the next area. Each of the levels will reference the earlier Mario games from 1, lost levels, 3, SMW, and SM64.
What I have gotten changed so far:
-Jumpman's sprite changed and colored to look more like Mario
-Replaced DK sprites and animations with Bowsette
-Replaced Pauline with (confused) Peach
-Swapped all enemies with a Super Crown variant
-Changed the tiles for all the stages to look more like a castle
Here's a preview to the Bowsette variant I've been progressing on. Once I finish, I plan on a Boosette version where it's all ghosts and you play as Luigi. Given how things are, probably will have it ready by around April.

Queen Boosette has trapped Mario in a painting, now Luigi must brave his way through the ghost filled mansion to rescue his brother and lock the ghost back into a painting.

Seriously though, nice work on these. It's nice to see how you revamp the graphics to match this character.

Thanks, I've been able to adapt to different styles since it's been what I did when spriting for years now.
I've decided on how I plan on releasing the ROM Hacks. So I plan on have Bowsette Jr. submitted first and then a week later go with Bowsette Jr. Math which will include the Bowsette Jr. + Lessons.

Here is the latest ROM Hack project completed. It got posted a lot faster than I expected. Also this is possibly the 1st DK Jr. ROM Hack ever made and posted online! Hooray for me!

Here they are, the probably not making any promises last of the Bowsette Jr. series. These are Bowsette Jr. Math and Bowsette Jr. + Lessons, while similar have differences. Delay in posting it here was because I wanted it approved on MFGG, which had some delays.

From the Bowsette Jr. ROM Hack, it's now time to learn math with Bowsette and Bowsette Jr.! Choose one of various math courses in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and long division. Also featuring Chompette and Boosette.
