1700th thread! - Honey Saucer Gengar - 04-13-2019 I just made the 1700th mybb thread! RE: 1700th thread! - Mario - 04-13-2019 Then why's the tread ID 1738? One thread came out 1 hour after this. RE: 1700th thread! - Great Destination Tracks 3 - 04-14-2019 NO ONE CARES RE: 1700th thread! - Daisy - 04-14-2019 Can I just ask why does it matter? RE: 1700th thread! - Mario - 04-14-2019 unfortunately, this is the real 1700th thread RE: 1700th thread! - Honey Saucer Gengar - 04-14-2019 (04-14-2019, 07:31 AM)Mario Wrote: unfortunately, this is the real 1700th thread No, when I posted this thread the number changed to 1700. RE: 1700th thread! - Mario - 04-14-2019 The numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you, Honey Saucer Gengar RE: 1700th thread! - Mariofan230 - 04-14-2019 (04-14-2019, 07:31 AM)Mario Wrote: unfortunately, this is the real 1700th threadProof? Also in the URL (that thread is tid=1700, this one is tid=1738); for every thread, MyBB stores a numeric identifier. It's basically a counter that goes up by 1 each time a thread is made and assigns that number to the thread- that number is how a thread is pulled from the database when you load up a topic page and why you see it in the URL. Not exactly sure how the statics page works, probably just subtracts deleted threads or threads that are in non-public forums. RE: 1700th thread! - VinnyVideo - 04-14-2019 This miiiiiiiiiiight not be the most useful topic of all time, unless the number 1,700 holds some sort of super-special significance I'm not aware of. With that aside, I'd recommend looking at topic IDs rather than the Statistics box, as topic ID numbers never change. In contrast, the numbers in the Statistics box aren't always accurate, often because of topics getting split, merged, or deleted. For example, I just hit the "Recount and Rebuild" option in the Admin Control Panel to update the Statistics box, and now the thread count is under 1,700 again. |
