Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.8.5 Demo) - Mikeystar - 05-31-2019 PLOT:
Oh my! Bowser has stolen the All-Star from Star Haven, and Wanda, one of the sprixies, has came down from her home to warn the Mario Bros. that the entire Mushroom World is in grave danger, and it is up to them to thwart Bowser's plans before the land is warped by his jurisdiction! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It has been a long time coming for this wonderfully aged project. This project was started by a user known as ~CaMtEnDo~ on October 31st, 2009, being formerly known as Super Mario World: All-Star Edition. The project, after being given to me, has slowly been working its way towards completion. This project combines the elements of all the classic Super Mario games, stirs it up some, some more, and adds its own tastes in the Mario universe, spawning this game to life. Play as Mario, Luigi and Toad, Peach, and Wario, as you pass through ten worlds of Koopa clashing madness! You may also change the graphics and music in the external files to your liking! Make some character skins, why don't 'cha! Currently downloading. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - smbmaster99 - 06-01-2019 I didn't think any more work was being done on this game o3o I'm really glad to see it's still alive, it was one of the prettiest and promising SMB3-esque fangames I've seen. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - Evil Yoshi Toes - 06-01-2019 I remember seeing this before. I've not played it yet but the visuals in those screenshots are beautiful. I'm going to download it as soon as possible. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! The game has been for the past few months, thoroughly cleaned and heavily polished. I was appalled how terribly the game ran when I returned to fix the glitches for the first time. It's like I had a solid premise with coding, but man was my methods of execution bad. If I can rewrite the game's physics system without it taking a solid 5 months out of my life, I would do so. Thankfully at this point, all the glitch fixes can encourage me (and the team hopefully) to get the game worked on again and done. We aim to have Peach and Wario finished by next release. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - electro-kun - 06-02-2019 I was playing SMASA at dawn, and I cleared some levels of Minty Plains. So, I turned off my computer and went to sleep. In this afternoon I went to play SMASA to clear Minty Plains, but suddenly the FPS started falling, letting the game slow. I really can't play with the FPS slow. What I can do to make the FPS high again? RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! Because the game is so sensitive to how much RAM your computer has stored over time, and because it's a game that uses high priority, it may be optimal to either close some applications to free up RAM, or just to reset your computer. Also, if you don't know, press F10 to see the FPS and memory usage. And if this is not the case, then I honestly have no idea. If you were on the World Map when the game began to lag, that's strange; we went out of way to optimize it. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - Honey Saucer Gengar - 06-02-2019 This game looks awesome! I think there should be some extra power-ups though. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! You'll need to get into later worlds to discover more forms. You can press the Space Bar to look at your inventory on the World Map, just to see all of the powerups in the game. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - Honey Saucer Gengar - 06-02-2019 I haven't played the game, I was just suggesting it. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.4.5 PATCHED!) - VinnyVideo - 06-16-2019 I was looking forward to playing the latest version of this. It's a big, ambitious game with impressive graphics, and it's been in development for a long time. However, the frame rate is so poor that the game is unplayable for me. I'm averaging about 25 FPS - and I have a laptop with 16 GB RAM, an i7 processor, and an SSD, with no other programs running. Changing the frameskip and effects settings didn't help. The game is laggy on all screens - the title screen, the map screen, and in the levels themselves. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! I only have 6GB RAM with an i3 processor and the game works just fine for me, I typically have a consistent 45+ frame rate and nearly 60 on the World Map. ================================================= On another note, the game and the external files have been updated! This is the last update for Version 0.4.5. Here is what is featured in this update: ~ All of the glitches, both visual and mechanical, for Yoshi, has now been completely fixed. This includes a glitch where Yoshi can't carry items into different sections of a level, being able to hold baby Yoshis in an adult Yoshi's mouth, and flutter jumping while tonguing. ~ three levels have been updated in the game's level list, as they have been completely re-designed. This includes "Grinder Woods" "Pizza Island" "Mystery Arena" This was meant to be held off until later demos, but these levels felt boring to me, so I gave them a revamp. ~The World Map has been optimized. There should no longer be drastic frame rate problems on the map. If that's still the case, I highly suggest you look into finding ways to minimize your RAM usage from other programs in your computer. ~Some audio has been changed. World 4 now has different music for most of its levels (just for that extra polish). And to all who downloads this patch, thank you all so much for your support! RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.6) - Mikeystar - 01-25-2022 Hey y'all! Just to bump the topic to the present, this fan-game received another release today! Please try it out, for I have worked very hard to present you this version of the game. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.6) - VinnyVideo - 01-26-2022 Oh wow, this is still going! I gotta get you props for persevering to keep working on a fangame after all these years. The game softlocks when I try to read the note at Oho's Bazaar: Code: ___________________________________________ RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! You must've downloaded the game upon release. This glitch was reported, it was simply a typo regarding a call of a certain song in the game's files. Try downloading the game again in an hour, since there's a couple of glitches I'm fixing at the moment. Also thank you so much for that, yeah I try my best to keep a project alive. RE: Super Mario: All-Star Attack! (Version 0.6) - VinnyVideo - 01-30-2022 You're welcome! I tried the new demo - the game no longer softlocks when you read the sign at Oho's Bazaar. However, when you read the sign, the Superstar Saga underwater music starts playing, while the original jazz music (not sure where it's from) keeps playing over it. I'm now getting stuck in Morton's Temple. It's cool that you've implemented an SMB-style castle maze - I don't think I've ever seen a fangame do that. However, I made a wrong turn, and now I can't progress (see the screenshot). Regardless of whether I take the top path, the middle path, or the bottom path, the buzzer sounds and I always loop back to the last "successful" turn I made. |
