Zelda Maker? - Damarioman - 06-17-2019 I'm pretty sure we all saw the Nintendo direct by now, which means, we all saw the Link's Awakening remake. In the remake, there appears to be a place where you can take pre-made dungeon rooms and stitch them together into a custom dungeon. Could this be a precursor to a Zelda Maker? A game where you make top-down Zelda dungeons? I sure hope so! What about you? If they made a Zelda Maker game, would you play it? RE: Zelda Maker? - Evil Yoshi Toes - 06-17-2019 I'd definitely buy it! It's what I thought too when I saw the direct. Zelda is in a similar boat as Mario with both the 2D and 3D gameplay styles, with the 3D being more prominent now. It'd make a lot of sense to release a Zelda maker. RE: Zelda Maker? - HylianDev - 06-18-2019 it would be cool if they did a zelda maker, but the market, and the customizability options, kinda aren't there. and a lot of what makes a zelda game is what occurs outside of the dungeons, too. i had an idea for a Zelda Maker once that i was gonna make. it would basically be like a level editor for the original loz. make a dungeon out of a bunch of rooms of the same size, drop in loz enemies, bosses, etc. and have doors tied to remaining enemies maybe I'll still do it? Totally do it! That sounds awesome! |
