The last KPP game that was ever in production (mario has some new problems) - King Piranha Plant - 07-05-2019

I cannot believe I found this

I was making this game with a friend in like 2008 or something and only just found it on an external hard drive after years of thinking it was lost forever

What even is this, I'm snickering so hard I almost wanna finish it

P.S. if you actually download this, be noted the third level is empty and there's nothing after it

P.P.S. it has voice acting

Could you please include screenshots of it in your post please?

Hee hee... this is pretty cool! It's always a treat to dig up old projects you thought were lost for good. 'Tis a pity it never got finished.

Who did the voice acting?

That was a pretty fun demo, KPP! Laughing The colorful pastel visuals blend together gracefully, creating an eye-catching aesthetic. The gameplay, while glitchy and basic, was varied enough in regards to mission objectives, which kept me playing until the credits screen. The music was low-key and fit the theme of the levels nicely. The cutscenes were quite entertaining as well.

The absolute best thing about this demo though is the voice acting. It's just so funny and really gives the game this unique flair of character to it. I don't think I've ever played a Mario fangame with original voice acting aside from Paper Mario World.

4/5 It has a lot of potential!

I did some bits but my old friend from high school, Brittaya, did most of the voices I believe. i remember she always wanted to be a voice actor and I thought she was so hilarious, I should really encourage her to get out there more with it Laughing

And thanks General Guy, I was just amused it existed and happy to dig up an old Clickteam relic. But when you mention the aesthetics and stuff it is kinda amusing, like it's really unclear whether I was trying to make some old crappy MFGG weird-style game or if I was actually half taking it seriously. It just kind of exists lol

Wow, that's pretty cool! And you're welcome! I was always a Clickteam user myself, and never really toyed with Game Maker. I feel like you were being serious and put sincere effort into the art direction and sound effects, but were lax about the story/plot and events. But those two contrasting design philosophies merged into one really give the game it's own eccentric style.
