Streaming Topic - GStache - 12-08-2017

I don't think there's a stream topic here yet......so here it is. I'm testing things for streaming as of now and will probably post on here whenever those streams are live. I suppose others can post on here as well if they're in the streaming business as well.

Also, I have a question, what's a good microphone for this type of stuff?

Pedigree's Note: There is an MFGG Discord Channel for streaming here: https://discord.gg/GfKSECx

I use a blue yeti microphone for my livestreaming.

I'm far from being famous or anything, but I have to say (at least in my opinion) that it works pretty decent. My voice sounds good (compared to the trash I had before) and it has different modes you can switch to (like if you want to do a podcast, you can turn on Bidirectional or Omnidirectional mode for example, which then records in front or all around you, instead just in one direction). The only problem is that this one is quite expensive (I got mine for 100€, which is about 118,25 US$) and you need to buy a popfilter seperatly for it.

Maybe you should check my livestreams out to get an idea how it sounds? I have one stream there with my bad, poor, English skills... Big Grin

Anyone an idea how I can do a creative content stream, were I do spriting, pixel and work on my game(s) and how I can avoid to bore my audience during these streams? I fear, that nobody would be interested in that stuff...

Oh, okay then. I'll try to find a microphone like that before I stream again.

I'll be streaming Donkey Kong 64 in about 30 minutes (7 P.M. Eastern time). Go check it out!

Y'all get to decide whether I do Frantic Factory or Gloomy Galleon.

I was thinking about getting yeti and I think I will just by your example in your video. One way to get more viewers is just be more persistent with doing live streams. Involve your audience, have them pick out games that they would like to see you play, do give - a - ways, have special guests, and talk with your audience as you play. I think your reactions to your gameplay is pretty funny and the accent helps too. Get yourself out there, instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter. Anything to attract more people. You may not like those platforms, but they are free tools to use for your benefit. Good luck! Smile
