MFGG dreams - DavidCaruso - 03-19-2020
I had a dream last night that I went on MFGG, but all of the boards were deleted except for the PPP. The administration announced that this was a permanent change, and that MFGG would now focus solely on pointless posting instead of fangames. I remember thinking that there was something very poetic about this -- like all of the board's history had been leading up to this moment.

That would be very interesting to say the least. I once had a dream about MFGG where the entire old community was back and everyone was posting again like it was 2007.

I once dreamed that I traveled to Austria and met @Guinea in real life. I met @Fujiko in a different dream from years ago.
Also, one of the levels in Mario's Steroid Adventure came to me in a dream - I opened an old hymnal and saw the level before my eyes. That was right before I started being active on MFGG.

Had another dream last night that I was involved in a flame war on the MFGG forums with someone who I had banned eleven years ago. The poster was passionately critiquing my moderation policies (which I don't remember) in some nostalgia thread, and then implying that I was too much of a coward to show up and defend myself, so I had to log in and jump in. Many walls of text were written on both sides, Kesha showed up to defend the guy in Comic Sans, and eventually for some reason the thread veered off into a debate over whether the song "Grace Cathedral Park" by Red House Painters is a good or a bad song.

Last night I had a dream where I was watching TV, and a commercial MFGG came up. The only part I remember was a generic man you'd see in a typical commercial sitting on a couch, followed by the MFGG logo against a black screen.

Back in 2015 I had a dream where I was in a store with my mother, and I met Ultramario (AKA @Andy Journey). He said something to me, but I could never remember what it was, if it was even comprehensible. I remember posting about that back then, and @DJ Coco suggested that maybe Ultramario asked me about staff privileges.
I'm sure you know that @Thunder Dragon got the idea for Psycho Waluigi from a dream! I remember TD saying that in the dream Waluigi had a Kong tagging along, the latter of whom served as the inspiration for Monkeybags, the shopkeeper in the game!

I once had a dream that Guinea returned to MFGG with a new fangame.
It was more of a traditional SMB1 clone, with eight worlds and four levels each, and no overworld map. But it did feature slopes, all custom graphics and there were even some 3D effects implemented in the background.
I remember one level was inspired by SML2's Tree Zone with the level rotating around an insect hotel, similar to the tower structure as seen in Sonic Mania's Metal Sonic boss fight.
When I woke up I was disappointed that fangame wasn't real.

Why were there no 3D effects in any of your platformers then? Be the change you want to see.

Another MFGG dream y'all. This time, MFGG was some sort of school club, and everyone would meet in the gym. Everyone looked like their forum avatars (which were rotating like Minecraft drops) instead of themselves. None of the real MFGG members where there, but there was one guy who copied my username. Anyways, Toadette was an Admin, and she asked me the password to her younger sister's account, Little Toadette, so she could ban her. I don't know why she thought I knew her sister's password.
Little Toadette had a reputation for being well-meaning but annoying. For example, instead of posting on the forum, she would send us handwritten letters with illegible handwriting to get someone to post it for her. Some of us didn't mind, but an Admin named Peter got really upset over this, so everyone made a rule where Peter couldn't take disciplinary action against Little Toadette.
Since MFGG members met in the school gym instead of the internet, we would make live presentations about our fangames and other projects. However, Little Toadette never shows up, so whenever she has something to present, she always sends a "representative" to give the presentation on her behalf.
The dream ended with some sort of regional conference party thing, except it was the type of thing designed to hype up kids in middle school.

I had a dream that SMBD2 finally released as final version, then i played it and it was fun I completed it 100% with secret exits, i beaten the final boss of EVL army, then saved both Peach and the magic jewel!
after I woke up I was disappointed that fangame wasn't released.

Another MFGG dream. Nothing complex this time, just that when a new user submits a fangame for the first time, the mainsite would automatically inflate review scores for their game.
