Do your friends and family know you use this site and are active on here? I never really told my friends too much about being on here. They are gamers but not programmers really. One of them want to learn to program, and that's cool. I think I should have got my friends more involved earlier on. Anyway, just wondering about your guys' lives.

Originally, I tried to maintain a "firewall" between my online life and people I know in real life. I never posted anything particularly scandalous online, but I felt I could express myself more fully if I didn't have my family or close friends watching me! I stopped caring so much about the real life-online separation in later years, though, as the physical and digital have grown much more intertwined.
Still, my family and friends probably don't know about MFGG.
(Also, don't follow my example - go invite your cool friends to join MFGG!)

My brother has known for years that I browse MFGG. I told him about this place back in early 2007 and he registered on the old Invision forums on June 1st, 2007 as Chubacka. He only posted for like a day or two before losing interest. He eventually got accused by Joey of being a dupe and was banned.

My sister is well aware that I'm a MFGG regular. However, I've met some of the MFGGers in real life. I've actually developed a fan game with a MFGGer in person and both of us brought our laptops back in 2016.

Generally not, as there isn't much reason to talk about it and they wouldn't care. And it hasn't been that relevant to me for a while.
That said, one of my strongest real-life friendships was forged here, so I guess the answer is also yes?

I have one irl friend on minus world who I think vaguely knows about this place through there and I think my internet stalker ex knew about mfgg but thought it was dumb
