Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - Q-Nova - 08-10-2020

Remember those Isometric Collaborations, where there's a theme and you create tiles that get mixed with other people's tiles to form one beautiful image? (Here's the last one we did for reference.) I think it's about time we do another one! I have a few ideas for a theme:
  • Paper Mario
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • 3D Mario game(s)
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Luigi's Mansion
  • Wario Land
  • Wario Ware
Got any other ideas? Since we opened up to different franchises, we could also do a game that has nothing to do with Mario, like Sonic! Also, who's willing to be the leader of the project?

since im a fairly 'new' mfgg member i never got the chance to participate in any of those but i liked the content that came out of them. if we could rally enough people id love to participate, but probably not lead it. super mario bros. 2 or wario ware would be my favorite theme choices. if i had to make up a theme, we could do a mario kart one where there's one connected 'track' across a bunch of cubes. i think that would be cool as hell

Might be fun. SMB2 gets my vote.

This looks incredibly fun! I'd love to join! Sooshy's idea of making a racing track of isometric cubes is very creative, I second that. But, out of the list, I'd vote for SMB2 theme.

For those who does not know what the Isometric Collab is, here's a wiki page explaining it.

I might go as well with Puyo Puyo since—Come on!—we don't have ANY of the Puyo art collabs for eons?

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - OssieTheOstrich - 08-12-2020

I'd be down for one.

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - Myte - 08-12-2020

I'd like to participate as well. Paper Mario sounds like a neat idea as I've been playing Origami King lately.

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - Amine Retro - 08-13-2020

hey i totally forgot those existed! might be a good way to waste my time, i vote SMB2.

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - VinnyVideo - 08-13-2020

SMB2 is my favorite option of the bunch, but the others would be fun as well.

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - Yakibomb - 08-14-2020

Uh yeah I'm just going to say SMB2 because yes.

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - Pedigree - 08-15-2020

Organizing/hosting one is a ton of work and like herding cats to get it done. I know from experience because I hosted both the Luigi and Wahloween ones, the last two iso collabs ever to be completed. And it took until the following year to get the Wahloween one done.

I'm not saying it can't be done but you're gonna need someone dedicated to run and see it through. Unfortunately, I personally don't have the time with college starting back up.

Perhaps do something smaller in scale than the ones we've done before?

RE: Let's do another Isometric Collaboration! - SilverVortex - 08-15-2020

not gonna lie i'd love to do one again, since it's been ages and i think it's about time the forums had another event to give it another boost.
i'd be down for whatever, but smb2 personally has me interested.
