RE: The Shroom Project - Copperama - 12-22-2017 Looks very fun, reminds me of the Mushroom Fusion game's Halo levels, which were also super fun! So I'm looking forward to playing this! RE: The Shroom Project - Random.NICK - 12-22-2017 Alright, so I beat the game without getting all the collectibles, I'll try for those later. Personally I genuinely enjoyed this fangame! There were many interesting gimmicks and quirks in some levels too. The game also had some frustrating moments, but it didn't stop me from playing. I also love the references to Ztar Turmoil, and the amount of darkness in this game is... actually really dark. Anyways though great game! I hope you make another shooter like this at one point. RE: The Shroom Project - VinnyVideo - 12-22-2017 I've played a few levels of this. I won't say anything about the gameplay or story until I've had a chance to beat it. Under the default settings, this game runs very slowly for me. After tinkering with some of the settings, I found that the game runs MUCH better if you enable a certain setting in the Options file: Code: AlternateSyncMethod=1 RE: The Shroom Project - Friendly Dictator - 12-23-2017 downloaded it and one of the files is "Dubstep.ogg" and i think that might tell me everything i need to know about the game RE: The Shroom Project - Copperama - 12-23-2017 (12-22-2017, 11:06 PM)VinnyVideo Wrote: I've played a few levels of this. I had to run it on my older desktop to get it to play at normal speed. I'll try this option and see if it runs better on my newer laptop. My desktop is an older OS, I wonder if it something to do with that? RE: The Shroom Project - Friendly Dictator - 12-24-2017 through secret hacking techniques, i made the game actually bearable to play RE: The Shroom Project - Hyper - 12-24-2017 Clone (zombie) Marios with guns? Something seems very familiar. It's quite messy with everything on the screen. Also the difficulty curve is non-existent, it escalate from 0 to 100 in just one level. RE: The Shroom Project - DustinVG - 12-24-2017 From the brief moment I played, it didn't seem too bad, but my dude, that music is obnoxious. RE: The Shroom Project - Friendly Dictator - 12-25-2017 hey guys. play my good, better version of the shroom project with good, better music RE: The Shroom Project - Willsaber - 12-25-2017 ![]() I'm having trouble with this puzzle. I can't figure out the logic behind the ? block mechanic. Does anybody know the proper code to input to make the coins snake underneath the door? RE: The Shroom Project - VinnyVideo - 12-25-2017 @Willsaber This is one of those coin snakes, as seen in a few levels in Super Mario World. It follows the direction your character is facing. If you duck, it goes down, and if you look up, it'll go up. You want the coin snake to hug the edges of the platform that's shaped like a reverse "L". Then make it go above the stairs (these are jumpthrough stairs), and then let it go left under the door. Hit the P-Switch, and the coins will temporarily turn to blocks. Then you can enter the door. RE: The Shroom Project - Copperama - 12-25-2017 I enjoyed this game, though the level design isn't my cup of tea. It's a lot of waiting or chewing through obstacles that aren't challenging, but seem to only be there to be in the way. For example, there just doesn't seem to be any reason for normal piranha plants to even have a health bar, they only go up and down and you just end up waiting for it pop back up so you can take another third of it's health bar off with your gun. Many parts of this game are a bit time consuming for no particular reason. Also sometimes enemies are positioned in a way where they get a free hit, that's a problem. Another issue is the level length. Levels go on too long, they could be split up easily. This would definitely make getting the true ending much more bearable. The levels are so large that if you miss one of the extra challenges you would be out so much time, not to mention you'd also have to restart the game so you wouldn't have to play through the rest of the level due to the lack of a backing out option. I have to express that the true ending is a bit disappointing too, just a dialog change. The main character them self actually hinted at a secret optional boss by claiming, "Oh wow that was it? What a pushover!" which I thought was some foreshadowing to a true final boss. I liked the music choice, a parody of extreme zombie movies and action horror. However, the music was a little overpowering, that and the inclusion of Mario SFX in the tracks is probably not the best choice. The SFX can confuse a player especially since sometimes the same SFX can be heard as cues in the game. I enjoyed running through the game though, I'm glad I played it. It was fun lining up shots and plowing through hordes of the Mario undead in this very silly game. I thought the story was funny and interesting. I liked the toads so much that I was wondering about a character select with the rest of them. The game controls, (when the level design allows), permit fast movement and quick reactions. At first, the toads seem a little slow, but over time I can say they control exactly as they should. The wall jumps were frustrating in points, but that may have been my own fault. Also bravo with the haunted house, (and also curse you)! I really enjoyed that level, it actually unnerved me! A little silly to admit that a Mario fan game got me to jump, but it's actually my preferred brand of scary. Not a jump scare, but the knowing that something will show up, and you can maybe hear it at some point. Brilliant execution with the pots, I loved it. Personally, I would love this game if it were tweaked a bit this way. I think this game would benefit if everything, including the player them self, had much less health. I'd dare to say one hit kills all around, cause I think that would compliment the great controls to have fast paced combat. Overall, this game is good, and is definitely worth a play through. RE: The Shroom Project - Willsaber - 12-26-2017 I haven't finished it yet, but this is already my favorite Hello game. FD's music also genuinely improves my experience. RE: The Shroom Project - Hello - 02-10-2018 My next game will be releasing sooner than you think! The Resistance will be making a return, and this time, you will get to create their adventures! ![]() RE: The Shroom Project - Snessy the duck - 02-11-2018 Well that was unexpected. RE: The Shroom Project - TheHappyFaceKing - 02-13-2018 :O I was shocked as soon as i saw the video |
