If you check out the index page, you'll see that the General Chat has 500 topics! It's been like this for a while, but surprisingly, no one noticed. I mean, what are you waiting for? 500 is a grand number that should not be sneezed at, and it took nearly six years! Let's celebrate!

500 topics in an afternoon sounds like quite an exaggeration, but plausible if you people had nothing but free time and lots of stuff to post. I could almost imagine people making about 500 posts in a day back in the IPB era.

Fun Fact: On May 9, 2006, 45 new topics were created in the General Chat! That's the all-time record for the GC, unless it was passed at some point during the first phpBB era, a one-year period in MFGG's archive lost to the sands of time.
There were 406 total topics created on April 1, 2009! I bet MFGG had a 500-topic day at some point during the PPP era. The PPP era could be insanely active, though the PPP had to be pruned regularly to keep the old DB from exploding.
The more you know.
I am very not sure about that strawberry pizza.

Okay, it was a little bit of an exaggeration... but the old PPP moved pretty fast, I don't think it was completely out of the question either.
Also I'm probably not exactly back, but I do like to check in and see how this place is doing every now and again.

@VinnyVideo Wow! Cool facts! 406 topics is pretty incredible, even if it's on an April Fools Day, and many of them are probably nonsense although I haven't seen them. I believe the PPP was deleted from the IPB forum once the CCC was introduced, correct? I guess we may never know how busy the PPP was in that era, given that the Wayback Machine likely has fragments of it at best.
I'll admit, I wasn't sure if strawberries on pizza would be a good mix, but hey, it's what @littlelum wanted, not me. Maybe it tastes good for him... right?

@Q-Nova Yeah, MFGG often went bonkers on April Fool's Day!
PPP prunings started occurring in 2005. The PPP accounted for hundreds of thousands of posts in the MFGG database, and back then MFGG's server didn't have much space. Having too many PPP posts could cause the entire site (including the mainsite) to go kerput. That's why the admins of that era did regular prunings. I'm glad we have plenty of storage space nowadays, though I'm torn on whether having thousands of new posts every day would be a good thing!
