It's been awhile. - The Shadow - 11-17-2024 Hey, everyone! It's been awhile since I last checked in. I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still doing okay, and get everyone up to speed on what I've been working on. I've gotten into artwork, music, and even gotten heavily into 3d printing. though I have gotten thoroughly rusty with Game making (Not that I did much of that to begin with) I've also been trying to pick The Twisted Dream back up, so that it might finally see the light of day. I do have some photos, and hopefully they aren't too awful big. 3d printing: This started fairly recently, as far as doing it on the regular. My sister wanted an articulated dragon for her birthday, and after some trial and error, I was able to print on on the resin printer I was using at the time. (An elegoo saturn S) ![]() Of course, Resin proved to be quite fragile. after learning that FDM printing works much better for these, I got a new one of those (An ender 3 V2 modded with a CR-touch bed level sensor,) Which is what I've mostly been using. ![]() ![]() ![]() Just to show a few things I've printed. Been having fun with this project. especially that haloween costume, which I even did the model work for the mask. there's a lot to learn when it comes to 3d printing. so many factors, so many variables, One may never have all the answers. and that's just what makes it so much fun. Artwork: I don't have much I can show in this field, since I've only done a few paintings, with some getting destroyed before I could get a picture. ![]() Sorry I don't have much to share here. Music: This is a bit subjective, and goes right into The Twisted Dream fangame project. In truth, I've been messing with an AI called Suno to generate music tracks for the game. https://suno.com/playlist/752e2d0a-9f13-4080-ae68-7e4df4c6e47b Here's the compiled soundtracked, named for planned usage. So far I have not actually gotten started programming the game for these, I also lack assets at this time to get started. Hopefully I should be able to get on that soon. That out of the way, I hope everyone has been doing well. RE: It's been awhile. - DJ Coco - 11-17-2024 The king has returned. Welcome back! Those 3D printed items and your painting look sick! RE: It's been awhile. - The Shadow - 11-17-2024 (11-17-2024, 03:53 PM)DJ Coco Wrote: The king has returned. Welcome back! Thanks! Oddly enough my biggest print is actually a Sword I extracted from skyrim back in 2019, that I printed out on a stock Anet A8 ![]() I would bet this project would seem much easier if I were to try it today. RE: It's been awhile. - VinnyVideo - 11-17-2024 Oh yes, it's been a while indeed! I know you and I chat all the time about such things, but I'm you decided to go on MFGG and share some of the really cool things you've been up to! And yes, you've really tricked out your 3-D printing game. RE: It's been awhile. - ricweb - 11-20-2024 Hey Nite, Good to see your doing well bud. Been 20 something years since we last talked. Great work on the 3D printing, I also did that for some time. And even Cosplay ^_^ Ghostbusters, Deathstroke and Darth Nihilus, all 3d printed parts. I have uploaded all the old MFGG stuff on a Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DFH3XqvPjSM4bxVqOGoloAHO-gm1LbIq?usp=drive_link) If people are interested, I saw some files with your name in there too. I have been busy lately with my own music on http://www.youtube.com/@retroricneko , and work is booming lately till at least end of the year. Stay strong bro! RE: It's been awhile. - The Shadow - 11-20-2024 Ricweb! It's been years, man! Good to see ya. 3d printing has been fun. So many things to make. There's a lot of potential with these things. Even as far as tools, and functional parts. Might seem mundane, but I was also able to fix all our folding metal chairs because of this printer. I'll definitely have to take a look through that archive of yours. I doubt I have anything useful in there, but it's always fun to revisit nostalgia. |
