Where can I find people to help my project - anex - 11-17-2024

Hey, I'm working on a 3D Mario fangame for about 3 years now, and I realized that I can't finish the game while working alone, so I wanted to ask where can I find other people to join my team to help on the project because this is a Mario related forum I figured this is the best place to ask.

Thanks

Probably the best way is to be specific. Share some details about your project - how much you've completed, how much work you have left, and what makes your game special.

What areas do you need help with? Coding? Testing? Spriting? Level design? Music?

I've been working on it for 3 years but because of my persona life the game is kind of stuck in the first part of it
I mainly need help with modeling and level design
I think my game is special because from what I have been able to find I'm one of the only people that is making a 3d mario fangame
and any help to the project would be appreciated

Ah, I see. 3-D Mario fangames are special indeed - there's not a lot of them. Seeing a good, completed 3-D Mario fangame is always a treat.

I'd suggest sharing some screenshots, a video, or a demo (or all of the above) so people can get a feel for the gameplay and graphical style.

If you want people to join your project, especially for free, you will need to show what you got.

People won't willingly invest their efforts into a project that they have no clue about how it even looks, and whether it's worthwhile of their time.
You also want to be able to show you got a sizable chunk of work done yourself, so people can be assured they won't be carrying the entire project themselves.

I highly second Vinny's suggestion to show some screenshots or videos.
