Fix non-ASCII characters on the forums - VinnyVideo - 05-22-2025
While experimenting with PHP upgrades on the forums, I made an update to the forums that inadvertently broke a few non-ASCII characters (see this).
I ran a few SQL queries that I *think* fixed the issues. Let me know if you notice any posts (or templates, or signatures, or PMs, or topic titles, or whatnot) that use weird symbols. Especially "Â".
I trust no one is bummed that all Microsoft Word-style "curly" apostrophes are now "straight" apostrophes.

It’s so amazing that you fixed the apostrophes! It’s always fun seeing others discover differences in character encoding.
What was it this time? Did you go from ISO to UTF-8?
Don’t worry about the apostrophes in this post. I’m just messing with ya.

I *thought* the forums had always been UTF-8, but there might have been some kind of issue with the charset or collation previously.
