What's Your Fave Controller? - NowhereMan - 04-07-2026
Because I use an USB Xbox 360 controller on my computer. It is my favorite controller, that's why I use it. I'd also buy an USB SNES and NES controller to play retro games.

For 2D games I prefer my PSX controller because it has the best d-pad out of all the ones I own. I'm still not sure when it comes to 3D games, though.

The GameCube controller is still my favorite controller of all time! Sometimes I use an adapter to play it on my PC, too.

That's an interesting choice, I don't know if I was too fond of the GameCube controller myself, but like I've said before, I missed out on that console. I don't think I consider the Wii a controller of choice, a remote control. But that's what makes Nintendo innovative I guess. The Wii controller is nice, though, but I'm sticking with XBOX 360.
EDIT: I say this, but the GameCube seems to be the predecessor of the XBOX 360. I mean, the Switch controller is almost an exact copy of the XBOX 360 controller itself. The original XBOX controller is too bulky for me. The dual shock PS controller is cool for its time, but I think the updates do it good. The N64 controller is strange, but I like it.

Tough choice between the SNES controller and the PSX controller. When I play on the PC I prefer to use the PSX controller with an adapter, using it as an universal controller.
FWIW, I didn't have contact with other controllers like the Neo Geo, 3DO, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Wii.

Same, I've been using my Xbox 360 controller for PC gaming for almost 20 years now. It still works well!
Other than that, maybe the Switch joycons. I like the lightness and simplicity of them.
