How much effort do you put into your food? - littlelum - 04-08-2026

Do you like to cook? Do you order take out? Me, I'm the type of guy who eats food straight out of the can, and gets lunch at work. I don't put much effort into my food. I'm ok with that right now, as I'm not super picky about "meal quality". As long as I get my nutrition, I'm happy. What about you?

I make my own dinner most days, usually takes me 15 to 30 minutes. It's not much effort to make a cheap filling dinner, though if it takes longer than that I usually don't bother unless it's a slow cook.

Today I put some jasmine rice in a cooker and fried up some chicken and pepper and then put in some tikka masala and let it simmer for a while, that took around 20 minutes. Yesterday I made penne pasta with chicken, broccoli and cheese, took about the same time.

For lunch and dinner I cook and eat pasta, I only eat rice on special occasions. For breakfast and snack I eat something bought from the bakery.
