Is it technically not illegal to do this? - Saltman - 02-03-2018 I mean, faking my country on the Wii Shop Channel/Nintendo Eshop, since my country isn't available in neither of them. One could say it's tax evasion, but since my country isn't available, I'm technically not "evading" anything, right? It's just not available so I have to switch the country if I want to use it. But I'm actually paying for the games so it isn't that bad... So yeah. I plan doing this if I ever get a 3ds/2ds. But is it legal? Is it illegal? Or does it just fall in a grey area ![]() RE: Is it technically not illegal to do this? - The Shadow - 02-03-2018 Worst that will happen is getting banned from Nintendo's shop. But this is pretty unlikely since they are still making money on what you are getting. In your situation, I would either convert your currency to something that Nintendo will accept, or pick a region that uses the same currency as you. From there, Nintendo really shouldn't give a damn. RE: Is it technically not illegal to do this? - VinnyVideo - 02-03-2018 I don't think you're committing a grievous crime against humanity if you do this. RE: Is it technically not illegal to do this? - Mors - 02-03-2018 im doing it for switch eshop and there's literally nothing to worry about it's not illegal and you won't get banned for it |
