The 1% - Mariotroid - 03-08-2018

Is there a such thing as the 1%, the illuminati? The all seeing eye? Are they trying to make us into thoughtless drones? Are the 1% Going to take over the world? WI'll there be a new world order? Is capitalism inherently evil? Big questions cause it' late at night.

There defnitely is a conspiracy in my opinion...

Careful what you say online. You never know who is watching.

RE: The 1% - Yrr - 03-08-2018

The 1% and the illuminati/nwo/whatever are different things

The 1% are obviously and visibly real - there aren't any major conspiracies ruling the world, its just big corporations w business interests

Capitalism is definitely inherently evil tho, putting accumulation of capital above the wellbeing of citizens couldn't be anything else

RE: The 1% - HylianDev - 03-08-2018

The 1% consists not only of The Powers That B, but also people that make a few hundred thousand dollars a year.

If we're talking about the NWO people, then they may have existed as a small sect in the Freemasons at one point, but there's no reason to think they still exist. I don't buy into the Illumi-nutty conspiracy theories.

The 1% though (or as Bernie said according to SNL, the top one tenth of one tenth of one tenth of one percent), I think most people regardless of political stance tend to think income inequality is an issue, regardless of how they would like to see it tackled.

RE: The 1% - VinnyVideo - 03-08-2018

Conspiracy theories usually begin with a kernel of truth. Over the years, there have been secret societies that wielded a fair amount of power within certain groups, but there's no credible evidence supporting the idea that an Illuminati-like group is secretly controlling modern society.

As for the real "1%", some inequality in wealth and power is totally normal - in fact, it's inevitable. But when these disparities become too extreme, and when upward mobility becomes more difficult, we reach a situation where the foundations of modern democracy and economy begin to crack.

This post sounds exactly like something a member of the Illuminati would say when trying to convince people that his all-powerful group doesn't really exist.

And to answer the one remaining question, this guy seems to get around. He's probably seen a lot. He is in at least eleven billion places at once, you know.
