Server is back up - VinnyVideo - 03-14-2018
MFGG experienced some extended outages on March 12 and March 13. We're still trying to figure out exactly what happened, but the MySQL service went down, possibly because of a Chinese bot attack. Fortunately, Retriever II was able to get everything back up.
Currently we're making complete backups of everything on the MFGG server and making plans to prevent this problem from happening in the future, perhaps by moving to a different server.

Phew, thank goodness! I was actually kinda worried MFGG would be lost forever.

The chinese IP thing is ~maybe~ related to the out of memory condition that caused MySQL to go down, but was unrelated to the extended outage yesterday.
The partition corrupted during a hardware configuration change, so we almost lost 5 months of data (time since my last snapshot of MFGG). They were able to recover it after taking a second pass on it.
