I don't know about anyone else, but the announcements bar on the homepage is quite large. Currently it's mostly filled with competitions that are already long passed. And so, I thought to suggest that maybe that competitions that are over with should be removed from the announcements a week or two afterwards. But if that doesn't happen, I'm fine with my name staying up there (in two places) for a month or two.

They will be replaced with new competitions when people finally decide to host them.

True, but in the mean time, the announcement board is very large, causing the "who's online" list to be isolated at the very bottom.

Keep in mind that your display affects the layout of the forum. My display doesn't have the same problem you are describing
The old competitions are there as placeholders so I don't lose the image links for the icons and have to bug someone to get them to me.
The announcements bar is literally edited together with duct tape and glue in the templates and we have to wait for lumaSMS for something better.

Marking this as solved because I started doing the Announcements Bar differently, removing out of date announcements to keep it smaller. Let us know if you would like more improvements.
