Weird thing with thread views - TheHappyFaceKing - 03-29-2018

Why does it count as another view when you revisit a thread you already visited? I mean, if i keep refreshing the page over and over again, the views pile up...

Right.

I actually still have two "new" views that I've already seen. There's always a 2 number in the bell icon.

@TheHappyFaceKing Estimating the number of unique visitors to a page is much more complicated than counting the number of page views. There's a reason that all forum systems (or at least all the ones I know of) work this way.

Isn't it the same as YouTube videos? It literally counts as a view. If you're reloading the page, then it's like you're viewing it again after a reload.
