I got a GBA today! - Saltman - 04-20-2018
Today a friend gave me his old GBA because he no longer uses it since like ages ago. I managed to make it work luckily. I' excited for this obviously!
It already had SML2 and an old Mario Golf game, so I already know it's compatible with GB/GBC games. So yeah, can you please recommend me some games?
Try to suggest Mario/Wario/DK/Yoshi/Nintendo first party titles too, because there really isn't a point on having one without any of them.

I like the first Super Mario Land a lot, though I know a lot of people think it's awful. Link's Awakening is a good game too.

Is it the old style GBA or a GBASP? I'd love the latter. I still love my original phat style GBA though. Here's the games I have:

Is it because it lacks a light? Yeah it's kind of annoying, but I can solve it by playing next to a lamp or something.

Plus the SP fits nicely into a pocket and looks super sleek, but the old one is fine. I used to play my old one on my bed in front of an open window so I could easily see the screen.

WOAH! You got a Gameboy Advance! I've been wanting one of those for a long time, since I was young, and then when the Micro came out, I still wanted it. This is cool! Savor every moment out of that little handheld of the past. I'll figure If I can get mine later.

I have a friend in Michigan who had a GBA that he rarely played on, and he didn't have many games that he didn't lose somewhere. But I played Kirby's Dream Land and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on it. It was quite interesting to see an old console in this day and age. Now, I usually play GBA games on an emulator on my phone. Here are some that I recommend (even though some have been mentioned):
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Both WarioWare titles
Wario Land 4
Super Mario Advance
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Metroid: Zero Mission
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
