Pancakes + Awesome with maple syrup + More leeway in cooking them - I don't mind pancakes that are fairly gooey or fairly brown + Excellent use of fresh blueberries - I need to eat them more often Waffles + Good with almost any jelly/jam out there + I have access to a waffle iron that I should use more often - Can be tricky to find the right "doneness" for them - I don't like them to be too gooey or too brown - I've never had chicken and waffles before, and this is terrible RE: Pancakes or Waffles - Beatrice - 04-26-2018 For me, it depends. Pancakes and waffles are both good with ice cream. But something about pancakes is — idk if it's just me — sometimes it's kinda like “plain crepe but somewhat thicker” depending on how you cook it. And I'm not a huge fan of that. :P I'd say I like waffles. You can put chocolate syrup in the square things, so that's a cool thing. I like waffles too, especially with jam on them, but I'd take pancakes over waffles any day even without the chocolate chips. RE: Pancakes or Waffles - Yakibomb - 04-26-2018 I would say it depends. Both are excellent, and each do have merit. I'm going to be the devil's advocate of myself and lean more toward waffles. I always said I love pancakes, but something about the crispness of fresh waffles just makes my mouth water. It can be very good! Some days I'm a die-hard pancake fan, some days I'm a die-hard waffle fan, and other days I really can't make up my mind (which, if you haven't guessed, is the type of day I'm in now :V). However, it has nothing on these Finnish pancakes that are crispy and served with whipped cream and strawberry jam.
