Badges for Members of Affiliate Sites - Mario - 05-17-2018 I think it'd be pretty cool for MFGG members to have badges if they're contributors on affiliate sites. You know, so that someone doesn't just register for them all to get the badge and then never post there again. Maybe require them to show us their profile to prove they have a minimum of 25-50 posts and possibly an account age of at least one month? I don't want to set the bar too high, because if this encourages people to participate in more affiliated communities, it could be a win-win for all of us. RE: Badges for Members of Affiliate Sites - Mario - 05-18-2018 I agree with there being more requirements than just "signing up", as we all know it's pretty easy to sign up for a site and forget about it! I think it might be best to communicate with the staff of each affiliate and figure out what they define as a decent enough contributor. Post count isn't a great factor for two reasons: one, not every affiliate is a forun; and two, quality is often more important than quantity. As for badges, I don't think it'd be too bad to see maybe slightly scaled up and paper-mario-badgified versions of the affiliates favicons. Maybe we can add a field for people to share their profiles on these other sites (where applicable)?
