Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch Demo this Weekend Only - Pedigree - 06-01-2018 The Mario Tennis Aces demo for Nintendo Switch is live. Make sure you grab it and try out the online tournament and some limited offline play. It's a limited time demo that you can only access this weekend, for the record. RE: Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch Demo this Weekend Only - Pedigree - 06-01-2018 I guess it's not available in us until 6pm or something idk. RE: Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch Demo this Weekend Only - Kritter - 06-01-2018 I suck at it. Two things I've noticed though. 1. Matchmaking is either bad or non-existent. One match I'll be up against a complete newbie and trounce them, next match I'm against someone with 1500+ points and get totally owned. The first online match I played was against someone with over 1000 points. 2. There seems to be a bit of lag if the connection isn't great against the other player. I feel like my movements were slow sometimes, like I had some controller lag, but in other matches it was fine. It's definitely going back to the harder end of the spectrum. Comparing it to something like Mario Power Tennis, its core gameplay is definitely a little slower, but it also has more room for skill. In Power Tennis you had Power Shots and Recovery Moves and these are basically both in this game in some form or another, but Power Shots can be countered with skill and recovery shots require good timing and skill to use and aren't always guaranteed so it's definitely upped the level of skill required to play well. |
