These virtual pets were big in the 90s and early 2000s. I was in elementary school in the early 2000s and I was kind of cool so I had one. I was a dumb-dumb because whenever it died I would buy a new one until my friends showed me how to reset it. I showed a video of one to my little sister and she was not impressed by it which is understandable since she grew up with the iPad.

Apparently they were re-released somewhat recently and there is also a Tamagotchi app that I've heard unfavorable things about.

Does anyone still have theirs? I'm also curious to know how many MFGG members have no idea what these are.

Oh yeah, I remember those. I never had one, though - unless you count the Tatsumaki Discord bot's digital pet thingy!

Of course I remember this. I made a sprite entry called "Goombagotchi" a year or so ago. I loved these!



I'm thinking of making more of these sprites and sharing them on the main site...
