What happened to the MFGG archives?

So i was asking Yoshin in the discord about Charles Martinet actually visiting on the forums, and since her only proof was a memory, i asked if there was more proof, like a archive of him joining. But she and Hypernova told me that those archives has gotten lost, and i really want to know how they got lost. I really need to confirm if this is the real Charles Martinet.

Yes, I am aware that I have about 6 or so fangame projects currently in development at the same time. And yes, I am also aware that all of this is very ambitious.

This happened before I was active on MFGG, so I can't tell you too much. This Wiki page and this page contain some additional information.

The IPB archives still exist, fully intact. The first phpBB forum (the one that ran from November 2009 to November 2010) is gone, however - I think someone accidentally deleted the old database during a server change sometime in late 2013.

You can search the archive to your heart's content, although I can't guarantee you'll find any definitive evidence supporting or refuting the oft-repeated story that Martinet was once on MFGG. I'm still not sure whether it happened on the old IPB forums or on an IRC channel.
