Creative writing is one of my favorite things to do besides play videogames. What's your opinion on it?

I love to write and want to write more, just need to find the time. Only uploaded a short story to Reddit once, got like 6k upboats so that's cool I guess.

Been thinking of writing memoirs one day because I have a lot of interesting stories to tell.

That's neat. I just recently had my first creative writing assignment of the year for school, so that was pretty fun. My teacher said he liked it a lot, although that's not necessarily 6k upboats. I'm working on my entry for the writing competition as of now, so that'll be pretty cool. I've been thinking of writing a book for the past year or month or so, but never got further than the first page on all of my attempts.

Well, writing an entire book isn't easy. I'd keep at it with some short stories, makes it easier to keep a good focus.

I love writing nonfiction.

I've hardly done any nonfiction writing (unless you count dialogue for my games) since I was in my early teens, but I'd be interested in writing more nonfiction someday. Could be fun.

I used to love writing short fantasy stories from elementary to high school, but I've pretty much completely stopped now aside from essays I have to write for class which are dreadfully boring. I was pretty good I think, but ultimately my passion lies in illustration so I've moved my focus there. I did have fun writing dialogue for the NPCs in my ye old game jam entry, but I'm not sure that I'm interested in writing full on short stories anymore.

On a serious note though, I used to write a lot of fan fiction. Creative writing is a nice outlet and helps you expand your repertoire of vocabulary.

Creative writing is alright, but I never have enough steam to really follow through with a story.

Sometimes my writing mixes with my drawings, thus resulting in comic strips or single-image scenes. I do have ideas for some short stories, or even essays, but my problem arises when it comes to making the filler of the story, whether it be minor in-between events to "what are the heroes going to do before they get to the boss". I usually just make the introduction and ending, and that's it, but there's times where I manage to get it done.

My muse abandons me now and again, but I try to write often. Prose sometimes, poetry others. It's good for you.

I personally love creative writing. Both writing myself and reading others' material. However, there is some material that clearly comes from the writer's early stages of growth that should not see the light of day, yet somehow does anyway. Also, there are some people who just don't have the aptitude and should be encouraged to seek other hobbies.
