Mario Fan Games Recommendations

Hello everybody! I'm new to the community and have been lurking for about some weeks and wanted to know if you people have any recommendations on some Mario Fan Games!

Of course the main site has some great uploads but I don't wanna just place the score filter and go with it, I really want to know what do you guys play!

Help a brother out, will ya? 

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I did play the top 10 list on the main site, thats how I found the site in the first place!

Welcome! While I haven't experimented much with the games here, I can recommend one that I did play (and haven't finished yet): Super Mario Wonderland. It's a game that takes inspiration from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but is a NES version, chronologically before Super Mario Bros. 3, in 1987 (I think). It truly feels like an NES experience. I hope you try it! Have fun!
