Is New Super Mario Bros 2 actually a bad game?

It's more the repetitiveness of the game from the original that irks me.

I played it on my 2DS, it was actually pretty fun but I got bored after a while. I like New Super Mario U Deluxe more because it has Toadette! But I don't have a Switch Sad
