When will the main site get updated?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wish I could give you a precise timetable on this, but since I don't have the PHP skills to build a complete CMS from the ground up, this is out of my hands. I really hope lumaSMS is done sometime in 2018, though.

LumaSMS appears to be stalled lol

It was taken out of my hands temporarily to transition it to a rapid-development framework, but there hasn't been any news on that in a while.

It'll get done though. If you really really want to see how it's going there's a github.

"MFGG3" is an ambiguous and confusing name, since the "MFGG3" name was also used for the IPB-to-phpBB conversion many years ago. One prototype of the upgraded mainsite software was called GalaxySMS, but that was back when Char was working on it, and Char seems to have left us. We decided that lumaSMS would be a catchy and memorable name for the new mainsite software. After all, Lumas are important in Super Mario Galaxy, and we're a fangaming galaxy!

Ideally, at some point we'll be able to merge the forums and mainsite into one system.
