These go into a fair amount of detail about Super Mario RPG's development process and design decisions. An interesting read.

Oh, wow... This is very insightful. Overall, this interview explains a lot about the detail and feel of Super Mario RPG, and how I came to love it oh so much. They really built a sustainable foundation for the Mario RPG genre, and this interview says they knew exactly what they were doing.

The way that Fujioka explains Mario RPG translates so well, so well, to the final product that I feel so enamored and inspired by his decisions. From talking about the product direction so comprehensively to actually describing down to what the player would feel when playing the game... It is really incredible to be able to do that.

Thank you Vinny for sharing that.

This was a great read. I'm happy to see, as Yakibonb has pointed out, that they captured what they set out to do. They had an original vision then executed it in the most precise way. I hope I can do the same in my game development. Way to go Nintendo and Rare. Keep on being inspirarions.
