In this forum's member list, you can see that every letter has at least two members,.....almost, that is. If you try to look for the letter Q, you can see that there is only one member that has that as the first letter in their user name. If you don't who is the one with the letter Q, then try looking at the left of this message and you should be able to find the answer (or you could just go to the member list and click on the Q).

Q (named cue /kju/[1]) is the 17th letter of the modern English alphabet and the ISO basic Latin alphabet. In nearly all languages using the Latin script it is a consonant, not a vowel.

A nova (plural novae or novas) or classical nova (CN or plural CNe) is a transient astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a bright, apparently "new" star, that slowly fades over several weeks or many months. Novae involve an interaction between two stars that cause the flareup that is perceived as a new entity that is much brighter than the stars involved.

Aha! So you are the seventeenth letter of the alphabet used by new stars! (Or just a nova classified as 'Q'.) If so, then of course the letter Q only has one member.
But one question remains: If you are Q, where is your U? Isn't Q always followed by a U? There are only two members whose name start with a U. So, is it UltLuigi? Or UubrmanX? Choose wisely @Q-Nova... take your time...

Qat (or khat), QWERTY, Qoph, qadi, qi, Nastaliq, and Q by itself are all words without Q followed by U.

The hyphen (‐) is a punctuation mark used to join words and to separate syllables of a single word. The use of hyphens is called hyphenation.[1] The hyphen should not be confused with dashes (‒, –, —, ―), which are longer and have different uses, or with the minus sign (−), which is also longer in some contexts.

@SMBXFan - Okay. Maybe we don't need a U to follow our Q here. But due to "Q-Nova"'s hyphenation, it should be like this: Q-
Nova, and it's being used for line-wrapping, OR Q is a prefix that means something, OR the hyphen is being used to create a compound modifier (so Q must still mean something). Even if you want to argue that Q is sometimes used for personal names, then here:

Some married couples compose a new surname (sometimes referred to as a double-barreled name) for their new family by combining their two surnames with a hyphen. Jane Doe and John Smith might become Jane and John Smith-Doe, or Doe-Smith, for instance. In some countries only the woman hyphenates her birth surname, appending her husband's surname.

So then Q-Nova is the surname combining the last names Q and Nova.
But, you could argue using this excerpt:

Connecting hyphens are used in a large number of miscellaneous compounds, other than modifiers, such as in lily-of-the-valley, cock-a-hoop, clever-clever, tittle-tattle and orang-utan. As for answering to that, I'd be stumped. But maybe now I can write Q-Nova as Q Nova or QNova.

A side note, but isn't it strange that you can't mention Q-Nova without quotation marks? I would think that the hyphen would make it one word so that you could do @Q-Nova and not have to do @" Q-Nova " (without the spaces).

That is indeed weird. Considering that and that one coin glitch, it seems that MyBB has some strange allergic reaction to dashes in user names, or maybe MyBB simply hates them.
