Inspired by Slug101's thread pitting the seventh generation consoles against each other, I thought it'd be an interesting idea to dial the clock back 20 years to the mid-to-late '90s, when the PlayStation reigned supreme, the Nintendo 64 was struggling a good bit behind it, and the Sega Saturn most definitely also existed still. I picked the fifth generation because it's one of the few older generations where I don't see a lot of people say just one console (for instance, you'd seldom find anyone on the internet who'd actually claim the Master System is superior to the NES and its vast, iconic library) - meanwhile, it seems the PS1 and N64 are pretty equally fondly remembered, and the Saturn in the last decade or so has rightfully gained its position as an overlooked cult classic console with a killer import library that was screwed over primarily by bad business choices and crappy marketing.

So in your opinion MFGG, which fifth gen console wins out for you?

Although there's some games I like on PS1, N64 has more fond memories for me.

N64 all the way. Never played the others. This was a great system. Lots of good games. I mean this powerhouse had Bomberman Hero!! (And other games that were well received but who cares about that)

I don't think I ever touched a Saturn. I think PS1 takes the cake, though N64 has some more timeless classics.

I never had a PS1 so the N64 is the console for me. Growing up with Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye. It was truly a golden age for games.

I chose the Nintendo 64 just because that's the one I spent more time playing. The N64 had a lot of classics, although the PS1 had a much larger library.
Course clear! You got a card.

N64 has Mario 64, so I choose that.

Also OOT is the highest rated game ever right?
