Yes, 99% of people who make fangames have no problems with Nintendo and yes, a lot of those fangames that did have issues with Nintendo were making money in some way. I don't know what's so hard to understand.

TBH at this point I'd highly suggest you to just move on instead. Your friend seems to be impossible to convince so I wouldn't waste my time any further.

Just tell your friend that if you make a fangame you won't get into trouble unless you are selling that fangame. Not sure if it helps, but that's what i'd say.

Well, I i had told FanofSMBX before as long as he does not do those following he will be likely fine, he had also replied back with a question about MFGG, but other than that i appreciate that.
