So I picked up a copy of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral town for my GBA collection last weekend. I had never played a Harvest Moon game before, but FoMT got an 8.9 score on IGN back in the day, so I figured it would probably be worth adding to my collection.

I started a new save, just to try it, and after getting over throwing seeds on the ground a few times (this game had some very silly decisions made about controls) I was hooked. I've probably played about 30 hours so far having finished my first year int he game.

In year 2, I'll continue to court Mary (she's at an orange-level heart right now) and finish off my house. I also need to befriend some sprites!

Any love for the Harvest Moon series among MFGGers? Or maybe Stardew Valley fans?

I've never played a Harvest Moon game before. I probably should, though.

I loved the one for N64. It was pretty fun. I liked that one goal was to romance a girl. So I definitely fangirled about that. I don't remember much else, but it was cool.

I'm surprised alpha blending would be unseen on the GBA.. anywho, it does have nice graphics.

Yeah I remember Metroid had alpha blending with water and acid and lava and other liquid.
