There's some big news here, including the reveal of Luigi's Mansion 3, a new Smash Bros. fighter, news about the Nintendo Switch's online features, and an announcement regarding a new Animal Crossing game for Switch.

Luigi's Mansion 3 looks pretty interesting ... I think I need to see more before I come to a conclusion about it, though. It was quite clearly in early development.

That ending was hilarious though. I imagine a lot of people got cranked hard.

Yes, not enough was shown of Luigi's Mansion 3 to make me extremely excited, but I am looking forward to seeing more of it.

New Super Mario Bros. U on the Switch is kind of weird but I was expecting that at some point. I don't think the new features are all that interesting though. Nabbit not being able to take damage makes me wonder what the point of playing the game as him is, and "Peachette" is a disturbing concept. I'm all for Toadette joining but I wish they had just made her a replacement for blue toad rather than slap some weird gimmick onto her. If they really wanted Peach to be somehow playable, why not just have her be an unlockable character after rescuing her like in Mario Run? Weird.

And Animal Crossing I'm excited for, I just hope it makes the villagers more interesting than in New Leaf. I couldn't get into New Leaf the way I got into the previous games because the animals were so boring to talk to. I hope that gets improved and the customization offered by New Leaf is built upon, and I'm excited to see what brand new features the game will have.
