What happened to the MFGG DeviantART Group?

Yes, I am aware that I have about 6 or so fangame projects currently in development at the same time. And yes, I am also aware that all of this is very ambitious.

I assume it died down with MFGG's decrease in activity combined with people in general moving away from Deviantart to places like tumblr and Instagram to showcase their art.

As I recall, @Gatete launched the group, so he'd be able to tell you more. It used to be pretty cool - the MFGG dA Group was quite active for a while, but dA's popularity began to fade, and fewer MFGGers used it to share their art.
