Bring the Announcement Bar to the left again.

I know this was rejected, but i have a idea on how to make this work.

Basically, you could go to the User CP, then toggle if you want the Announcement Bar to the right or left.

Yeah, I agree. I never saw it on the left but I can imagine it looking clunky.

The general idea of having it on the left was that it'd give it a higher place in the page's visual hierarchy, but having actually seen it there I'm going to agree with the others and say it was a pretty clunky look. I guess having the option to toggle it wouldn't hurt, but that depends on whether or not anyone wants to go through the process of making that option available.
