Here's something I started a while back, but got busy with other things, so it was left incomplete. I found it looking for something else and although there's not much to it, I figured it's worth releasing.

Super Mario's Odd, I See is a platformer-RPG. The story is that Luigi is very sick in the hospital, and Mario has to go see him. On the way, many contrived obstacles block his path. Combat consists of jumping on enemies who have varied and highly aggressive movements, and defeating them grants EXP that can be used to increase your health, damage, and a few other stats. There's an equipment system where you can choose between gloves, shoes, and badges that give you various bonuses alongside a drawback that changes how you play.

Controls are:
Z: Jump
X: Run
Enter: Open menu/select level up bonus
As this is a serious WIP, it's lacking a lot of crucial features, a few enemies are buggy. menus in general are not very pretty, and there's no music and very few sound effects.
The demo also has some extra stuff that's not in the video though, so it's still worth checking out Wink

This looks like a lot of fun! I like the idea of a Mario platformer where the enemies are more aggressive - this enemy AI is more like what you see in the Paper Mario games.

It's been a while since I've seen the good ol' Black Squirrel tileset.

In the boss fight, I'd suggest deactivating regular enemies - it's weird to have the knight guy randomly wandering into the boss room during the battle.

I like it! The sound effects are nice and punchy, Mario's animations are all satisfying (especially the fancy ones), and I agree with Vinny - it's cool to see the enemies actually try to attack Mario instead of just walk left all the time.

I'd love to see more.
Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

Very smooth physics! I don't know if I would personally enjoy this type of gameplay though.
Also, those graphics give me nostalgia...

I seriously think MFGG still needs more game with RPG elements! And this looks awesome. Very Super Paper Mario-y gameplay. Are you wanting to make it plot-heavy or the RPG aspect more just gameplay focused?

Also I must know what the "Bloody Mess" badge does
